why is it ok for some people to come on this forum and talk about s*x in a really gross way, but I make a comment to a guy on here that said that woman are lousy drivers and I get an email from yahoo answers that my answer was questionable and it was being deleted?? It's ok to talk about B J's and going from one p***s to another in ones mouth, but I can't make a comment about what the guy said about woman drivers??? I don't know>>>this world is a little backwards. But just wanted to vent I guess. I guess I'll just start checking off the abuse box now when I see someting offensive to me I guess.

  1. Hello,

What I have not actually figured out is whether or not the moderators check out each question or report personally before sending out the violation or report notices or do we get an automated chit so to speak whenever someone complains, no matter how frivolous the complaint is.

For example I could unfairly send one out on you right now and would the complaint be analyzed or is the onus always on you, yourself to justify and defend your position?

That said a have successfully appealed a few violations. The last complaint I got a few days back was when someone in the GT BL section asked if we found any of the trolls made us laugh. I said a few did make me laugh and I named the troll. For telling the truth, I got a report notice. I am going to ponder over the next day about appealing this and send a counter report on the questioner for setting us up deliberately, mind you I do not know if he had actually reported.

I suggest you be civil, polite appeal every violation notice and state your concerns. Maybe some of these policies will come under review if enough people write in.

    Cheers,

    Michael Kelly,

  2. I know what you mean. Some people just don't like you or your question and report you.

  3. What is and what isn't a violation is totally subjective, I mean, it makes no sense, it's arbitrary, and at times I've thought of suing Yahoo for a billion gazillion dollars just to get their attention to this ongoing problem.

  4. I KNOW. i was just going to post something about this. COME ON. I told some chick or guy [w/e i forgot] to get their "math question c**p out of here" BECAUSE HELLO THIS IS LGBT for one and for 2 i was being funny because i had NO IDEA the answer and i just got a violation email and wow i just want to go and report the person who did it to me because thats CRAZY. but, i probably won't blahh *karma* that's all i have to say, it will come back to those uptight people who report my answers because it's not what ''they were looking for'' ugh!

edit: Watch someone report me for this answer now too..haha

  5. Yahoo! can be contradictory and hypocritical over what they allow to remain on this site.  But these days they will accept just one report from a reliable user and any question, answer or comment can be deleted instantly.  Your answer must have just upset someone who has influence with Yahoo!.  If you're sure it wasn't breaking the terms and conditions you should appeal the violation.  If you're successful the reporter will lose some influence.

  6. i know! a quiestion got deleted the other day, that was just a kid asking a silly question, nothing harmful or offensive! Plus i read a post the other day where a man says that whites are dumb and him and his race are going to take over become the majority and drive us whites out! i couldnt believe it, and no1 seemed to say anything about it!! i was shocked..

  7. yes, its the abuse box. Thats the culprit.  i dont feel someone is monitoring this. its just tht someone is clicking on the abuse box often. some enemy of yours or some radical obsessive feminist.
