  1. Whetie Balls work incredibly, small worms, I have even caught some on crackers and popcorn

  2. I catch my limit on cherry chicken,,I soak chicken breast in cherry cool aid.. mix cool aid to where its barely got any water in it,,make it like a syrup then soak chicken over night in the mixture, shrimp in the same mixture works well too.

  3. small fish

  4. just use corn.. works just about every time i go.. i have a few over 30 inches this year with it

  5. Well Mr "Very Experienced Fisherman", while broadcasting corn may attract carp and other types of fish it also kills the ones that aren't big enough to digest corn. And that's alot of fish (Bluegills, etc.). I am sure however that you did not know that of had forgotten it. I would hate to teach or recommend unethical practices to beginners as I'm sure you feel the same.

  6. tiny wriggley worms which fish love to eat

  7. The best bait for carp will work any day of the year and it will work in every body of water. Unfortunately, such bait doesn't exist. Carp will feed on large amount of vegetation when they are abundant. Carp will feed on worms, small fish, freshwater shrimp and crawfish when they need to fatten up for spawn or winter. Carp will eat seeds and fruits from nearby plants if they are available. They will eat small insects as dietary supplements but there's no guarantee that they will always go after small insects. Carp will also eat weird foods. There's a farm pound where carp will feed on nothing but chile peppers! The farm grew chile peppers and it became the most abundant and most readily available food source for those carp. The best bait for carp will vary depending on the season, the condition of the water and the surrounding.

  8. I used to make a dough bait by mixing water, flour, sugar, and corn meal in a small coffee can and cooking it in boiling water to thicken, then added enough corn meal to make a tough dough. Roll the dough into small balls the size of your thumb and fish with that. There were lots of mulberry trees in the area and sometimes I would add a mulberry to the dough ball. The carp really went after that.

You can do a search for "fish bait" and get recipes.

  9. moldy old bread i cught a60+ pound grass carp in my stock tank with it

  10. James W certainly knows his fish biology.Biology 1-fishing 0 That's why i gave him a vote for the biology. But the hot chile pepper thing is kind of out there . not saying that it don`t happen but chile peppers like it kind of dry. and won`t grow good around water well at least as close as a carp would have to go to get them. unless they walk. Back to the correct answer to catch a carp only takes a gob of  night crawler or meal worms etc.on a sliding sinker rig. First broad cast canned corn in the area you want to fish at least 12 hr. before fishing.
