WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO HAVE A SET OF MULTIPLES

My mom wants to have a set of twin boys and is dying to have them she already has the names set out and everything but she is trying to make sure that she gets the remedy right so she can concieve twins or more well please give me some options or ideas

Sounds like she is being shallow. It is more important to have a healthy baby than to have twins for vanity purposes.

If she has $20,000 or so burning a hole in her pocket, she could go in for IVF--but even if they were to implant multiple eggs, there is no guarantee that they both would survive (or that even one of them would).  And she wouldn't be able to select the s*x.

Fertility drugs could increase her chances of mulitples, but it would only raise her chances to 10% or so.  Besides, if she is ovulating on her own and doesn't need fertility drugs, no ethical doctor would prescibe them for her.  They have a lot of unpleasant side effects, and if the dosage isn't carefully monitored, they can cause serious problems.

Sounds like she's approaching this very immaturely and irresponsibly.  Why can't she just get pregnant the old-fashioned way and be happy with what she gets, instead of trying to place an order for two specific babies, as though she were shopping in a catalog?

I have to agree with everyone else.  

It's quite self absorbed to purposely set out to make twins just to go around saying, look at my twins, o, how cute, bla, bla, bla.  

It's also not fair to the babies. Multiples can be born with all sorts of complications.   If a woman happens to conceive twins that's a different story but to set out to make certain a woman has twins is just selfish!

Twins aren't normal in humans.  The female uterus is meant to carry just one baby.  Twins more often than the single baby have defects, since the placenta can be only so big.

There isn't much anyone can do to make the pregnancy a twin, outside of IVF, which costs a fortune.

In medical terms, and to obgyns, they'd just rather not be involved with twins.  Everyone...EVERYONE wants a perfect baby, healthy happy, and with a great chance to survive.  The odds lessen if there is more than one in the "cooker".  Ask any obgyn doc.  And always the woman tries to blame it on the doc, and tries to sue him if she gives birth to any child that is not perfect.  Twinning increases the possibility that the child will be less than perfect.
