  1. THE OCEAN HAS A CURENT, AND GOLF DOES NOT

  2. If you want to get very technical, it is related to the recycling of water within the body of water - gulfs do not recycle their water very quickly, mainly because they have weakened currents. That means they're more susceptible to pollution, etc because they don't "flush" themselves as often. They can often be saltier than the surrounding ocean for the same reason.

Basically though, they're semi-enclosed areas of water, a bit like VERY big river estuaries, without necessarily having a river there!!

  3. have a look ( atlas ) and find out for yourself ! maybe, one day you get it !

  4. A Gulf is a large area of a sea or ocean partially enclosed by land, especially a long landlocked portion of sea opening through a strait.  A gulf is part of an ocean.

  5. A gulf is a body of water which is semi encircled by land , giving the gulf water its own pattern . An ocean is a vast body of water which separates large geographical masses such as continents .
