  1. Basically it's size and thickness of similar types of pasta.  Linguine is thinner than Fettuccine, and is basically a flattened spaghetti.  Fettuccine is a ribbon of pasta approximately 6.5 millimeters wide

  4. The size of the noodle. . Linguine is approximately 1/4" wide whereas Fettuccini is approximately 1/2" wide.

    The wider the pasta, the longer you have to cook it.

  5. I believe that linguine is wider than fettuccine. But as far as I can see that is the only difference.

  6. The width and thickness of the noodle.  Fettucine is broader and flat, linguine is more similar to spaghetti.
