  1. whenever you feel you are able for it.live and let live

  2. how about 666 because thats a bad number to start a bad thing take my advice and dont drink because drinking can have worse effects than drugs and can shorten your life

  3. Of course the prudes have to get in here and tell you not to ever touch the demon alcohol.  They need to stay out if they can't offer a real answer.  Obviously you're going to start or know someone who is under legal age and wants to drink.

Me, I think I was weaned on beer.  We had a fridge with a tap on it when I was a kid, and in kindergarten I could draw a perfect beer.  When my parents had people over to play cards, I was the "beertender" and kept the glasses full.  I also sipped a little.

In my home growing up, I was allowed to drink.  I had to ask permission, couldn't just grab a beer out of the fridge (eventually the tap went away).  The older I got, the more I was allowed to drink.  I was drunk many times well before I was 18 (yes the legal age then was 18 back in the Dark Ages :p ).

I think the effect this had on me was by not making it taboo, I developed a healthier attitude about it than most kids my age.  Not that I never drank to excess, but drinking was never THE purpose for a get together.  I had fun with or without drinking.  I've never been one of those people who counted how many drinks I had and bragged about it.  Other than playing quarters, I've never been much into drinking games.  I think beer bongs are a stupid waste of beer.  Same with most shots.  If you're not going to taste it, why drink it?

That attitude came (in my opinion) from not having the subject treated like it was evil when I was growing up.

My kids have always been allowed to try any booze that was in the house.  My oldest likes beer, but not cheapo crappy beer.  He's in college, just turned 21, and it took him a week to drink his first legally purchased six pack.

My youngest (17) really doesn't care for alcohol.

So don't anyone try to claim kids who are allowed to drink before it's legal will ALL turn into drunks or bums or whatever.

I'd rather see a 15 year old drinking responsibly than a 35 year old puking all over the bathroom of a nightclub and driving home.

  4. 18

be able to pay for it out of your own hard work

looking out for other fellow drinkers

  9. f#%# age . lets drink

  10. 15 :) ahah

  11. I started drinking regularly at age 12, but I don't recommend it.

  12. well everyone says not to drink before 21, but guess what fucckk them because no one actually does that.

    i started drinking when i was 15.

  13. i say stick with 21. they made that number for a reason! even though i am 20...and going to bars...hahaha.

  14. never.

  15. 18. dont start at a younger age than that because your brain isnt done developing when your younger and then your more prone to alcoholism.

  16. personally i think that you should be at least 21 to drink to smoke and to go to war dont get me wrong im proud to be an american and im glad that there are men and women out there crazy and willing to put them selved on that front line so not everyone else has to do it back home here in the states.

  17. I think when you feel comfortable, no one else ever knows if YOU are ready to be doing something.

  18. I think most people are ready by 15 or 16, at least I was. But everyone is different. Whenever you can handle your alcohol without making an *ss out of yourself, drink up.

  19. 22

  20. 19

  21. 16

  22. Don't.   You don't need to have a problem that might be hard to stop later.   Be smart.

  23. Please, go to an Alcoholics Anonymous or Alanon meeting before you make your decision.

If you don't start drinking until 140, you may save yourself and others a whole lot of grief.

  24. The age at which you are fully accountable for your actions, and can make appropriate judgement regarding your behaviour.

For some this might be 15...others will never meet this standard.

As I noted to someone, I'd offer up a choice to 16-year old Americans...you can either legally drink, or you can drive a car (but you can't have both).  Let them decide (and if you're caught doing both...lose driving privileges for life).

  25. to be honest drinking is never good for you until your a decient age. Like 45 though whenever you wanna stop drinking. But drinking old is risky to. Scientists study that if u have a glass of red wine, It thin's your blood stream. To fight risk of stoke. BUT if drinkin to much red whine  thins the blood stream to much and may cause low blood preassure and Very high risk stoke and heart attack

  26. when your able to afford the habit
