I'm a messy cooker, so I'm constantly splashing vegetable oil on my shirts.

As other posters mentioned, dishwashing liquid works well on oil stains.  

Take off your shirt immediately (go into another room of course if you have visitors) and rub a teaspoon of dishwashing liquid into the stain.  Let set a few minutes, then wash in warm water and your usual laundry detergent.

In fact, dishwashing liquid is good pretreatment for most stains.

Sprinkle unscented baby powder (or cornstarch) on the stain, letting it absorb the oil, and then launder as recomended.

Lemon

cut a of lemon into clices , put your shirt in a pot with some water add the lemon slices and the shirt ,turn on the stove and bring to boil,for at least 1o minutes, turn off the stove and let the shirt soak into the water until cold, rinse and the stain will be gone.

If your shirt is 100% cotton do not do this .

I have smeared lemon juice into stain directly from lemon.  Also have used lemon juice from bottle.  then rub in. Then wash in gentle cycle cold with blanca nieves or tide with bleach alternative.  Zote has worked after lemon treatment also.

Dish detergent: The stuff is made to break down grease anyway.

I use shampoo to get grease stains out of clothes.  Especially if it doesn't have a conditioner mixed in.  I used it on some kind of outdoor grease on my husbands new shorts and it came right out.  It's cheap to use too.

Any dish washing liquid, they usually have some kind of degreaser.  Scrub some into the spot then wash as normal.  DON'T use dishwashing liquid instead of laundry soap though.  It creates millions of bubbles & you will be cleaning them up for hours,
