  1. cases of cold beer. bring a donkey or a llama or a dali lamma.


  2. trail mix and beef jerky are always awesome...

You should take plenty of water, maybe some Gatorade or Life Water.  Also take some fruit, maybe some protein bars, and maybe a few packages of those 100 calorie cookies, or crackers in those little packages.  How much food you take may depend on how long a hike you intend on taking.  I hope this helps.  And have fun on your hike!
