  1. Turtle.

A turtle is the best pet for beginners.

They are even easier and cheaper to take care of than fishes.

Compared to turtles, fishes are cheaper to buy, but turtles last a lot longer and only requires one purchase.

    Hamsters are smelly.

Geckos need heat lamps which can sometimes be troublesome if you've never had this kind of burden before.

A dog is not the right choice because they are high maintenence, expensive, and very smelly. And is not recommended as a first-pet.

You should not get a cat because they are also high maintenence. You have to cut their nails and everything and cats do not like people touching their paws. Also, litter boxes can get very smelly if you don't frequently change the litter.

Cats and dogs are high maintenence.

    Start out with a turtle!

  2. i would go with a fish, but if thats not exciting enough a hamster..they are small cute and make awesome pets.. gekos are a good choice too..good luck and have fun with whatever pet you get!

  3. A cat! They don't need much!

And they are big! Alls you need

is a litter box & food && love.

    They don't cost alot either!

    Good Luck! :]

  4. goldfish is the lowest maintance you can get. bowl water food rocks and fish and if he somehow passes away, they are cheap and you can get a new one.

hamsters are good. you have to clean their cage frequently, feed every day, change water every day, and they like those balls for exercise.

reptiles are kind of boring. they arent very friendly. and you have to make sure the temperture of cage and humidity is right. and you have to feed them live crickets and worms which can get expensive.

a cat would be alright for you, they just need litter box cleaned and food. they take care of themselves pretty much. but its also expensive for shots and to neuter and spay.

i would say hamster is best bet for you.

  5. Hamsters and gerbils and rats in general are VERY smelly!  And if you have more than one they multiply like Rabbits, another very smelly pet.  I think the kind of pet you need very much depends on how much time you will spend at home with them, even a low maintenance pet needs love and attention. But as the others have answered you a cat might not be a bad idea, besides the fact that they are not low maintenance if you don't want them to smell. (litter box) Plus depending on how old the cat is, you may need to declaw$$, and neuter$$, so good luck with that.

  6. guinea pigs r too awesome!!!

    They don't rly smell

    they dont bite

    their fairly cheap like $20-$25

they can live up to 8 years (or longer if ur lucky)

    their social and friendly creatures

they eat almost any kind of fruits and veggies

they l**k like a dog, purr like a cat, and yet are small and soft like a bunny!

They usually don't run away from u, and as they grow up they learn NOT to pee or poo on u or fabrics, they try to hold it in 'till they get put back in the cage :)

and pretty low matience for a non-aquatic pet! and btw, they can swim!

    WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE OTHERS?

-hamsters only live 1-2 years, will run away, and bite. (same with mice, rats, and gerbils.

-turtles and such have that bacteria on them so u have to wash ur hands rly well after EVERY time u handle them, they usually cost a lot, too!

-ferrets are nice pets but they stink a lot

-bunnies are ok, but they will hop away from u and they p**p A LOT

-geckos and snakes/reptiles should not be handled a lot, should be left in their cage/tank.

-dogs and cats are high matience

-birds will fly away, and peck

  7. a fish maybe??

  8. a tortoise

  9. A hand-fed Bird sounds perfect for you if the are hand-fed by you then they won't bite.maintenence: changing a cage for them is EASY!

    Geckos are cool too!

  10. i'd reccomend a hermit crab. they live for a long time and are VERRRY easy to care for and extremely interesting to watch, they don't smell, they don't carry diseases, and they're cute.

  11. A dog

  12. Gerbils are awesome pets

  13. RAT...Super easy to care for. Only need to clean the cage once a week. Fresh food and water everyday. And about and hour or two out of cage time a day. As long as you handle him/her everyday they will be very social and you wont have any problems.

Males are more laid back. Were females are a little more hyper. But whatever you get they do best in pairs. Rats like to sleep together and if not some may become depresed.

Try not to put them in a tank this will cause Upper Respatory Infections. You want your rat to have lots of air flow.

Good Luck and I hope this helped!
