  1. see a doc! thats u know... dangerous.

  2. seek medical attention

  3.   Admonish the snake with a large club and head for the doctor. Do not overexert yourself and do not  consume alcoholic drinks.

  4.   hope kill him so you can take him to the hospital with you and  they can count the rattles

  5. tie a rope around your wounded body part above the bite, try to keep the venom below your heart, stay calm, and don't try to suck the venom out, then do your best to seek medical attention

  6. First, if you don't know how to avoid being snake-bit, stay the h**l outa the wilderness areas!  Secondly, if you are bitten by a potentially poisonous serpent, whip out your cell and call 911.  Thirdly, NEVER wander the wilderness alone but go with someone who knows what to do in an emergency.

  7. um go see a doctor

  8. STAY CALM!

Do not cut and suck the venom out, it doesn't work, it just gives you a nasty cut and possible site for an infection, esp if you or some one else puts their mouth on it.

No tourniquet's or ropes ! This is very dangerous

First off you need to determine if possible was it actually a rattlesnake and second have you been invenomated.Remove rings and other constricting jewelry, clothing etc...

It may seem obvious but many snakes appear to be a rattler the most common being a gopher snake

To see if the victim has been invenomated wait....an hour or so signs will be obvious.

The only treatment is evacuation to a hospital with antivenin, the quicker the antivenin is administered the better

The best treatment though is prevention, don't try to pick up a snake, or annoy it...Don't put your hands or feet in places you can't see.

If there is a snake on the trail try tossing a rock at it if it won't move outta the way go around...Also snakes can only strike out from a coiled position about half the length of their body. Less when laid out straight.

I have hiked on and off trail for over 30+ years and encountered many many rattlesnakes I have never been bitten nor do I know anyone who has

It is rare among the sober

  9. get someone to suck out the poison or try to yourself?? lol
