i used to take Karate class in 8th grade and i did it longer then my friend and my sister they both quit because the instructor was yelling at them and me but they gave up i eventually gave up not because he was yelling but because i never made it to the next belt after white. BUT now ive finished 10th grade and i have been taking art classes since april of 9th grade and its getting very boring its like all im doing is mixing paint and thats it and im getting tired of it. SO what do you think i should do should i go take another shot at karate and see if i can make it to the next belt or should i continue with art class?

  1. do what doesnt bore you

  2. Karate! Finish you goal!!

Karate has alot of good benifets so do it!

(wow, ur school has karate? lucky!)

  3. Karate!!

  4. Both are a lot of fun.  Funny story about Karate' so I took it in college and I borrowed my mother's Gi not paying attention (it fit so it worked) since she too took the class in college.  I was not there long when the Sensa ' started picking on me to spar.  I had no idea what I was doing... this went on for weeks then it donned on me.  I had her belt as well, she had earned a black stripe!  He thought that I had taken class before and that stripe was mine lol.  Yes we all had a good laugh.

Anyway Art was fun as well BUT if you are not interested in it (though color is basic and you will move on).  I say get back on board with the Karate'  for now.  Later when you are more serious about art you may be able to get into another class.  Perhaps you would be more happy with a different medium like clay.  At least you feel a sense of accomplishment when you make it to the next rank.

Best of luck and blessings :)

  5. Karate has a number of benefits if you stick with it.

Make a goal for yourself (like red belt or *gasp* black belt) and don't give up until you achieve it!

My girlfriend has a black belt in Tae Kwon Doe. She actually got it in less than 3 years, but she spent a lot of time at it.

    Good luck!
