WHAT WOULD LOOK BEST. CARPET OR TILE?

THE FIRE DEPT HAS A BANQUET HALL THAT IT RENTS OUT FOR RECEPTIONS. IT HAS TILE NOW. PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR FEED BACK.

For a reception hall it would be impossible to have it totally carpeted. It would be ruined in no time. Maybe go half & half. VCT for the dining & reception area & then maybe carpet in a lounge area for after the people get done eating.

Carpet for fancier receptions, but if there are a lot of people and kids who could stain the carpet, tile would be better.

carpet looks flush and more relaxing but is not good for spills. tile looks more formal and resiliant as well. but the decision maker depends on the condition of the tile. if the tile looks good save that extra buck and put it elsewhere lord knows you will need it.
