I am a freshman in college and I just recently started hanging out with a senior who is friends with my sister. We've only spent time together twice, and I REALLY like him as a friend, so when he started flirting a LOT, I was nice about it and didn't give any signs that I wasn't interested. My problem now is that we kissed the other night, and I really wish we hadn't bc I don't like him like that. I need to figure out a way to tell him that the kiss was a mistake and that we are not going to work out, but it is awkward considering I did kiss him. What would be the best approach: My schedule is really crazy and I don't have enough time to make anything work out; I really like you, but only as a friend, I'm not looking for anything serious; or should I just try to stick it out and see if maybe I am attracted to him eventually? Please let me know the best approach so as not to hurt a really nice guy that just is confused.

  1. I really like you, but only as a friend! Best choice be honest.

  2. girls do this...and girls think guys do this too...its called PLAYING GAMES

you cant give him some excuse like "i have a really crazy schedule" because quite frankly its BS to a guy, and you cant stick it out because it will just lead him on in the future.

So just tell him the truth..that you're just not interested in him.  The fact that you want to bring him down easy and not hurt him (what so many girls do) is why people end up more hurt in the end.

  3. tell him straight up. he'll understand. trust me, he'll be banging the next S****y blonde he sees.

  4. Be straight with him and say you didn't mean to kiss him the other night and it will not be happening again.  Tell him exactly how you think of him, just as a friend, and it will not bloom into anything more.  You can even go as far as to say that you didn't feel anything when you kissed him, but only go there if he seems persistent.  I would advise against saying it was a mistake, that usually hurts people.  It's college, he's been around the block, chances are he is not going to be devastated beyond repair.
