WHAT? eatting MORE calories will help you loose weight?

is that true? im trying to loose weight, and along with excercise, i want to change my eatting habbits too. lots of people have told me to eat MORE calories....but i totally thought it was the other way around! i thought calories were bad! thats why theres all those 0 calories or fewer calorie foods coming out. idk. will someone please explain to me how more calories are good?!

There is a slogan, "eat to lose" which basically means you need to eat enough good food on a "diet" in order to stick to the diet (Hopefully for the rest of your life) and avoid your metabolism shutting down or slowing down. When I lost 50 lbs over 5 months eating controlled carbs, I was amazed at how much I could eat and still lose the weight. I had eaten a lot less in the past and didnt lose this kind of weight..so I have often said "You gotta eat to lose" Perhaps this is what they meant. This doesnt mean eat more pizza, desserts, pasta... but lean meats, fish, chicken, steamed vegetables etc etc

  3. you should be getting 1500-2000 a day but in healthy foods. No junk foods. If you don't eat enough calories then your body has nothing to burn. You should eat every 3 hours to keep your metabolism going. 6 small meals a day.

    Well if you wanna be on a strict diet you can eat around 1000 calories that's what I'm doing right now and I've lost 27 lbs. cause if you don't eat enough you will become weak and have no energy

  4. TRENISHA....THEY PROBABLY MEANT EAT MORE MEALS, MORE OFTEN.SMALLER MEALS..YOU CAN NEVER LOOSE WEIGHT IF YOU EAT MORE CALORIES THAN YOU BURN ON A DAILY BASIS.  BY THE WAY, 2000 CALORIES IS NOT THAT HARD TO BURN, SINCE THE HUMAN BODY NEEDS ABOUT 1200 CALORIES A DAY TO FUNCTION PROPERLY.

  5. alright i can explain this for u ...ur told to eat more cuz say uhave 1000cals a day right ur metabalism adjusts this is how fast u burn cals while doing nothing so say ur basic metabalism rate is 1600cals that's what u burn a day just breathing blinking etc never mind running and exercise So eating under this will bring ur BMR down which u will naturally burn less cals throughout the day and then when u do this ur body loses fat wayy to fast when that happens ur body slows down so it can hold onto the fat longer..if u eat more and exercise ur metabalism will go way uppp! this way here u eat more not 4000cals more like 2000cals a day and with exercise and eating alot of healthy not junk foods ur body wil start to build muscle and burn even more cals thus u start losing weight..if u lose 1lb a week that's incredible 2lbs a week is reallyyyy incredible lol 3lbs or more ur overdoing it and s******g up ur metabalism and will gain weight back cuz u cant eat a 1000cal diet the rest of ur life u wana make dieting a lifestyle that's the best i can tell u with no website
