  1. water and little soap

  2. ok...start off by taking off the wheels when the bike isupside down.get a bucket of soapy water and two cloths. wipe the frame with one of the cloths dipped in soapy water.then ammediately after wipe it down with the other cloth(which should be dry). go onto the forks and do the same.

to clean the chain. get the soapy water and run the chain round a few times for it to clean it. then wipe down withthe dry cloth. replace the oil on the chain which you probably will wipe off. get a knife and take out dirt and other bits that might have collected in between the different gears.

  3. Never spray high pressure water directly at a bicycle's wheel hubs, headset, or bottom bracket. The strong force of water can wash the grease out and you will need to open things up to service it.

Spray it down lightly to get it wet and loosen dirt. Use a rag or sponge and regular dish soap should work. Soap that cuts grease tends to work well. A bottle of degreaser works to cleans things that have grease on them. Use a paper towel for the chain with some degreaser so you can throw the paper towel away.

You need to relube the chain and possibly pivot points on the derailleurs and brake calipers. Also lubing the cables slightly where they enter the cable housing can't hurt. You shoud use a specific lube that is meant for a bike chain.

The problem with using 3 in 1 or engine oil or other types of oils is that they really attract dirt and muck up the whole drivetrain. Some people like wax lube like white lightning. Those are fine and less messy but need to be reapplied much more frequently.

  4. I'm a fan of the soapy water and a sponge.  You can get pretty much everything off with that.  You might need a spot of degreaser for the chain and gears but remember to oil it up afterwards.

  5. Windex or simple green, spray on to a old tshirt you do not care about and scrub away. and degreaser for the grease on your bike. chunks of mud spray with hose but make sure to re-oil any components you spray, so they are oiled, do not rust, and function properly. And every now and then a coat of wax on the frame will not hurt and will make it easier to clean when it is dirty next time.

  6. Ok wut kind of bike

    Bicycle:

Spray it down with a hose

then soap it down with a towel srub srub

    then rinse

    MOTORCYCLE:
