  1. First of all, you didn't specify the units of 2.0, so I'm going to assume it's grams/mL. If not, if it's kg, for example, you would have to adjust your answer accordingly.

    Basically, density is mass divided by volume.

    D=M/V

    What you want to know is the mass, M, so we have to isolate that variable (basic algebra). Multiply both sides by V to get

    DV=M or M=DV

    You are given D (2.0) and V (50) so multiply them. Your answer should be 100. If your professor/teacher is picky about significant figures, you should have two, so be sure to include the decimal point after 100.

    The ever important unit would be grams or kilograms or whatever the case may be.
