I am visiting for a week this next week. I want to know where the best normal bar is, not g*y or latino or L*****n or expensive or country. Just a normal, trendy bar for people aged 20 and up. we are 21,22, and 23 years old. We want to know what is the best resturaunts. We love sushi, mexican, steak houses, Nothing 5 star and $$$, also we are going to a movie tavern since there are not any where we are from, and to Galveston Beach, but what is there to do? The zoo sucks there. thanks.

  1. id recomend you stay in sugarland

theres plenty of bars and geat restaurants cheap and tasty

    plenty of shopping

and a bunch of things to do around the town square

  2. Bars: Sherlock's, Drink Houston, and any of the clubs downtown

Sushi Restaurant: Kubo's in Rice Village (my Japanese friend only eats there)

Mexican Restaurant: Chuy's (on Westheimer), Cafe Adobe (Westheimer)

    Things to do:

    - Goshopping at the Galleria Mall (that is where all of the expensive shops are - and its a great place to people watch

    - Go to Kemah Boardwalk (near Galveston) - lots of great seafood restuarants and rides too.

    - Moody Garden (Galveston)

  3. Nothing here is trendy. We're talking about Houston, not NYC. Truly, nothing here is fun to do.

  4. Cafe Adobe has the best Tex mex next to Las Alamedas!

  5. i'd say sherlocks (also known as bakers street) is a good, normal bar.

for mexican food, i'd say go to Lopez. it's a resturaunt right between houston and sugar land and it's GREAT! i've lived in sugar land all my life, and galveston is NASTY! lol have fun though...

but there's plenty to do in houston, especially in sugar land. if you're staying downtown, i'd say check out if there's any shows at the verizon wireless theatre (a small music venue) that has lots of great popular bands for tickets as low as $15.00

hope i helped a little... have fun in houston!
