for the past week, my lips have been peeling. when i wore lipstick, the application was weird. It felt like i really needed to exfoliate my lips. yesterday to today, that peeling stuff went away, however, my lips are now very very dry, and sore. it feels like they are abraded. nothing from my normal routine has changed, the weather hasn't changed, and i haven't been kissing anyone. what could be wrong? please help me it hurts.

  1. Sometimes cosmetics can dry your lips, especially lip 'glosses', they often aren't very moisturising. You just need to get hole of a good moisturising lip balm, try to avoid the glossy ones and overly flavoured ones. I don't know whats available where you are, but some really great ones come from blistex. And also using Lucas papaw ointment is great!

  2. Use a lip balm that has healing and moisturizing properties, like Sally Hansen Healing Butter For Lips (see SallyHansen.com for details). Don't use gloss until your lips returns to its normal color because it will look a bit strange.

  3. use carmex or something you need chapstick w/moisturiser and sun screen

  4. put petroleum jelly until you notice the peeling has been stopping. it works, i've had that problem before.

  5. It just happens sometimes. It could be as simple as l*****g your lips often without realizing that you do.

You can use Vaseline on your lips and you can even VERY gently exfoliate them with an unused toothbrush with some Vaseline on it.

If it persists, see your doctor.

(not sure why you thought my answer is rude)

  6. just put some chap stick on. geeze

  7. you could do a couple on things. get some good lip balm like burt bees wax.  put some Vaseline on the at night and in the morning they will be soft.  also you can rub some sugar on them to exfoliate and wipe off with a damp towel.

  8. you just have severely chapped lips. Use blistex!

  9. they might be sunburnt? try a chapstick with aloe in ti.

    hope ya feel better!

  10. its juss dry ... lipstick mightve caused some irritation... use the chapstick brand "burts bees wax" if u can find it.... best there is
