  1. You have exactly what "We The People" voted for in the last general election...  A Democratic party majority in both the House and the Senate, with extremely partisan, extremely weak leadership in both houses.

If you don't like what you have now, you will have another chance to change it in November 2008.  If you're eligible to vote, and don't do it, then you have no right to complain about what you end up with.

  2. What --mexican hellboy---says sounds good but the government does not as yet answer petitions of the people as stated in the lst amendment-----for present SCOTUS pending case on this see:

  3. We dissapeared. It's the  military industrialcomplex, which, unfortunately represents the USA

  4. "We the People" do represent OUR United States of America.  You may be asking WHO Represents You in OUR Government?

We have had an extremely divided and partisan government for 16 years or there abouts.  Both sides of the aisle claiming wrong doing, taking valuable time and resources to launch witch hunt investigations, and doing all they can to smear the good names and reputations of those who are asked and are willing to serve in public office.  Look at the recent Supreme Court confirmation hearings, the recent Attorney General confirmation hearing, very nasty business.

"We the People" have allowed this to take place.  "We the People" elect these buffoons into office to represent US.  if "We the People" want to have a civil government that has our best interests in mind in the future, We need to make that message clear and dismiss the incumbents and get some fresh blood into Washington.  If you're embarrassed about how your Congressman or Senator handles themselves in public, during a hearing, while in front of a camera, then speak with your vote and get them out of the public eye.

    Good question by the way.

  5. "We the people" chose our poison. by picking representatives, we are TRUSTING them to do something for the better of the community. Like presidential electors, they are not legally BOUND to do the people's will. Luckily, we have a right to petition, meaning we can take something up to congress even without our representatives and senators. By lobbying, you can annoy a senator/representative until he/she gives in. unfortunatelty, once a bill reaches congress, it must survive like a million committees before seeing a possibility at being passed. Sorry for making the answer so long, I got carried away...
