Best Deal - OfficeDepot

If you want to spend the least amount of money, and don't mind the mail in rebates, you will get the best deal if you purchase through office depot.

Best Selection - Best Buy

They have the largest selection of laptops that are available for you to interact with and play with to see if it is right for you.

Best Customizable

Dell.  They usually have great deals from ads on their main pages.  Their ability to offer a multitude of systems, with a max range of customizability, makes them great.

Well you can buy good laptops for a good deal at tigerdirect or Geeks.

but if you want a laptop from en electronic store, frys, best buy, i would get one for a good deal. but not sure what is the best place, any place is good as long as it has on what you are Looking for.

with laptops i believe its best to comparison shop first at a place that has a good variety of interactive displays, like best buy. once you find a brand or model you like; check different retailers and the company itself for specials or deals you cant find elsewhere. many companies offer education discounts or package deals. Apple, for instance; is currently giving away iPod touches with new macbook purchases with education discount. Just try to avoid buying from companies online that you dont hear much about elsewhere, because they may be scams. Good luck!
