I found out a year ago that I have PC OS and the doctor put me on metformin 1500mg. It made me very sick so about a year later he decided it wasn't doing enough to keep me on it. My husband and I have been ttc for 4 years and I thought it was because he was away alot on deployment. Well he has been home for over a year now and nothing. We went to a specialist who put me on my first round of clomid. The only thing is I'm so anxious to take a test, and I never really had normal cycles so when should I test...?

  1. Well you should have be doing some sort of BBT or ovulation predictor kit to see when you have ovulated.  Test 10 days after that (may be a bit early)  Many people on Clomid end up having longer cycles than usual.

With PCOS Metformin and Clomid are a good combo.  Did your doc start you out on 500mg for a few weeks before upping it to 1000 then 1500 a few weeks later?  If not you might want to give it a shot again.  Hey if it works it might be worth getting sick for a month to have a baby.  I am on the same combo and I figure the sickness is worth it.  Good luck!

  2. im on clomid. test the day after your  cycle is due. this is my second round of clomid. many people says dont expect it to be a miracle drug.  im gonna test on aug 15th or so.

  3. You are expected to ovulate between 5-9 days after the last pill of Clomid, and if you are pregnant then the pregnancy test is usually positive 12-14 days after ovulation. So if your period hasn't come you could test 21 days after the last pill of Clomid.
