  1. Don't use it!  Essential oils are toxic for cats.  Even if it did kill fleas, which is a dubious claim, you'd be doing more harm to your cat.

  2. Please don't be tempted to use tea tree oil on cats.  They are highly sensitive to it's toxic ingredients and it can have fatal consequences.  The article below explains why it's not safe to use.

In all honesty, the best treatments for fleas are those that you buy from the vet.  They may cost more than the over the counter versions, but they work quickly without harming your cat.

  3. Any old pharmacy should have it. Its really very common. You can also get tea tree shampoo (for pets and for humans).

  4. Fleas are now immune to tea tree.

  5. Tea tree oil can be very bad for pets, It can poison them. I wouldn't recommend it. Get a special shampoo from the vet.

  6. Never ever use essential oils on cats. Their systems are to sensitive and while tea tree is harmless to humans, it's dangerous to cats!
