WHERE CAN I GET AN AFFORDABLE BMW 1 SERIES?

i'm planning to get a BMW 1 series, I have been driving an Old banger for least 7 years and I feel it is time for me to upgrade myself and thinking of a BMW 1 series. prob is not sure which is better diesel or petrol? along does anyone know where I can purchase one for around £6-7k?

get a 2nd hand car that is sold privately. bmw has very good diesel engines so you could get that one.although i would prefer the bmw 316i. the 1 series just has the ordinary features of any ordinary car. but if that's fine for you, it shouldn't matter. you can try ebay in your area. things to check for a 2nd hand car: tranny, engine, tires. the minor checks include, power windows, locks, lights, wipers, radio, aircon, etc.
