Just as with anything, you go to the post office.  Packages are often less expensive through UPS, which is also worldwide.

Make sure you are absolutely accurate with the address and return address.

The people either at the UPS store or the Post Office will take care of everything for you.  It's why you pay them.  I don't know how the Post office works tracking, but UPS is simple.  They put a scannable code on the package, and give you a copy of the number, and you can track it on the computer!  (I'm pretty sure the PO is similar).  

Faster is more expensive, slower can take two to three months, but is the least expensive (makes sense, right?)

  Prepare your package and take it to the post office or a Fed-ex or UPS office.  They will weigh it, tell you your options ( normal, fast, or very fast) , tell you the charges, and explain the tracking system.
