Ol' D.W.'s fine. He works for Fox which only broadcasts the first part of the NASCAR season. You'll see him again when NASCAR heads back to Daytona at the start of the 2009 season.

Home with his family, most likely.  He only boradcasts the first 1/3 of the season before the "wonderful" rotation of networks that cover the races.

dw only does fox for the first 1/4 of the season.  i thought that last season when fox stopped airing nascar that something happened to dw.  i guess that i because he is my favorite commentator but he's ok.

I bet he is spending time with his family. He only announces Nascar when Fox air's the races, which won't be until February 2009 now.

Funny, you should ask. I just got a post card in the mail from him today. He says hello and wishes you the very best.  He is just on vacation for a few. Resting his jaws up, taking a breather, working on his tan, beating up his little brother, giving wedgies to red-headed kids who sell their soul to the devil. You know, typical R & R stuff, that they wont let you do at Disney World.

ok lets review darrel dose nascar on fox the 1st 12 races of the season then he has a vacation till the next Daytona 500 because he only dose the fox broadcasts and now nascar is on espn until next year

FOX only does the 1st 13 races of the Sprint Cup Season (2007-2014). Then TNT takes over for the next 6, then ESPN for the next 6, & ABC for the remaining 11.
