  1. its gonna be a close call if i were you id leave just to be on the safe side but i think its gonna hit central lousiana and possibly mis new orleans too but there still gonna get it pretty bad you might have a tornado threat from him.

  2. gustav will hit about 50 miles to the west of houma louisiana. so you wont get the eye. but the northeast quadrant of a hurrican has a tendency to produce a lot for tornadoes. so your weather will be crappy but it wont be the brunt of it.

  3. You can see the projected path of the storm, and find links to local TV and newspaper coverage, live streaming webcams in the affected areas, preparation guides, plus links to the National Hurricane Center coverage of the storm on http://www.USAMediaGuide.com

  4. You can't really predict where a hurricane will make landfall until it gets real close. It could hit New Orleans again. Then that famous looter will get a chance to steal himself another case of beer.

  5. The best source for information on this is the National Hurricane Center of the National Weather Service.

The link below shows the probabilities of Gustav's hurricane force winds (74 mph or more) over the next 120 hours. Right now there is under a 20% chance that it will hit Mississippi. But tropical storm winds aren't so great either and the second link shows a 50% chance of them hitting Southern Mississippi in 120 hours.
