  1. centre.  Near emergency exits to make you feel a little safer and there really is less turbulence there.  Don't sit at the back!

  2. Sit in front of the engines if possible. As for turbulence, you don't really feel anything unless there is turbulence (which affect the whole plane, not just one section of it), so you can't really pick a seat around turbulence.

  3. On the outside.

  4. In general, noise and ride quality have less to do with where you're sitting and more with the size of the aircraft; a large aircraft will be quieter and smoother.  So you might take that into account when choosing your flight if it's important to you.

Then I'd suggest going to seatguru.com - they will suggest which seats are more comfortable for your specific airline and aircraft.  Sitting next to a lavatory, for example, can sometimes be quite noisy.

  5. Consider your carbon footprint.

Do you really need to use an aeroplane?

  6. apparently you dont feel as many bumps etc if you sit in the middle

  7. In the bog

  8. I've heard it's supposed to be safer to sit on a wing section.  I don't know about noise because when I rode in an airplane, it was my first time and I was so scared that I didn't think about the noise!

  9. Well if I'm flying from Spain I'd like a seat in the black box.

  10. whell it depends on what aircraft if it was a boeing 747 it would be the bubble

  11. I don't know about for the things you say but I always sit within a couple of rows of an emergency exit - just in case.

  12. Whenever I go on a plane I try to sit behind the wing cause it's behind the engines it's supposed to be safer if you crash. I think there is less noise too because I went on a plane last week and we had to sit at the front and it was REALLY noisy so I would say behind the wing it quieter. I think you would feel the same turbulence the whole way through the plane but it might feel less behind the wing too. Anyway behind the wing is the best place to sit, for me anyway.

  13. middle seat

  14. I always choose the middle try it it might be okay for you. might you some aircrafts now have beds so ask the air hostess he or she might have a better idea for you or you could ask for a pillow.

  15. Sit near the bar and get pixxed, then those noises wont matter.

    Turbulence is nasty

I was on the above flight, and I hate flying.

The worst ever plane crash was on the canary islands - tenerife - (583 killed at the airport), so avoid the canaries...

  16. I couldn't care how much noise it makes as long as I got there alive.

  17. You cannot escape the noise, but sitting towards the front of the aircraft reduces the sensation of turbulence. Why do you think they put business and first class at the front?

  18. I normally sits at the wings and I don't know why because I hate the noise of the undercarriage when its lifting.  Near the front is probably the best.
