Great question.  I am always looking for the best gyro too.  I used to live in Denver and I have been to Pete's.  Very good, especially after bar.  :P

  Parthenon in Madison, WI is very good too.  I live in chicago now and one of the best gyro restaurants lost their lease years ago.  Tragic.

Best ever, you need to go to Greece.  In Denver, go to Pete's Gyro Place on Colfax.

Pete owns a number of Greek restaurants around town, all with different ambience and menus.  Check out petesrestaurants.com for all of them. But for a good gyro the Gyro Place is the best.

Monaco Inn and Yanni's are good if you are closer to SE Denver. Both are on S. Monaco.

Don't miss the Annual Greek Festival at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Denver in June. There you really will get the best Gyro ever!

I HAVE solved your question ..NO lie. the GREATEST GYRO ever! . in Aspen Colorado @ the popcorn wagon across the street from Bentley's, its the best gyro i have ever had, you must try this one. an its a good price for Aspen, don't forget if you want something to write home about try this gyro at the popcorn wagon. a lot of people hang there at this lil stand close to the club Chelsea you'll love it swear
