  1. -What Defense? It's a joke he made the NBA All-Defensive team, and Josh Smith didn't.

-Kobe is an average defender at best, but not a great defender, and certainly not one of the best defenders in the league

  2. THEORETICALLY Kobe is a great defender.  He supposedly is a shut down defender.  However, they never put him on the other teams biggest threat because they want to keep him out of foul trouble and concentrate on offense.

It seems like in the NBA finals, when Pierce was taking over the series, it might be a good time to let Kobe guard him.  But, no, that never happened.  What good is having this great defender, if he never actually utilizes that aspect of his game.

  3. hes playin d on weak players, and you can be a bit more physical on your defense in the international games.  plus he along with many other usa members gamble for steals.

as for the finals, he played d like he normally does, subpar and overrated.

  4. He plays D in the Olympics???

Oh, you mean the defense that makes Carmelo's defense look good?

Sure, Kobe is making his teammates look good for a change.  Good for Kobe.

  5. kobes d is overated anyway

boston shut him down and destroyed the lakers

    the olypics kobe basically suks

its d wade bron and melo who play good in the olympics kobes always in the bench

  6. wen he at the oplympics is a diff story cause in the nba ..he has to b the on who does everything..if he plays to much d lik he doin now thn he woud get fouled out an the lakers would hav no chance of a championship..with the usa team everysingle player is a star so they dun need him to make all the points

  7. It wasn't his time in the finals I guess.

  8. where were the Lakers in the NBA Finals?

  9. no where ray allen totally shut him down

  10. I think he played good D in the finals. It just some player are hard to defend when there hot. Paul Pierce and Ray Allen are two of them.
