Kingston, Corsair and G.Skill probably are the best companies to get RAM from.

Most of the time it doesnt really matter though as you never will collect on a warrenty 99% of the time...but they are nice to have.

For the Santa Rosa based computers Kingston currently makes the best RAM available with their hyper X RAM.  It runs at 800mHz with 4-4-4-12 timings and at 667mHz with 3-3-3-9 timings according to your computers FSB.  So its pretty hard core stuff for laptop RAM.  I would put it against 1066mHz DDR3 thats currently available and wouldnt be scared to say that the RAM would be basically equal in capability

G.Skill makes very high quality RAM and sells it for a very fair price. With DDR2 and later RAM, you don't have to worry so much about the timing specs, as back in the PC3200 and earlier days.
