  1. just strickly looking at the speakers specs... the Pioneer has a high RMS @ 1,000watts vs. 750watts RMS of the kickers...  meaning, if they're powered correctly will give you more sound!

    I'm a Pioneer fan, but when I was doing my own reseach about subs, I read some VERY impressive reviews about L7s... though, the sub shape was the main issue to me ( I didn't want to deal w/ the wierd mounting hole.)

    bottom line... they both would probably do a d**n good job of disturbing anyone withen a mile radius ( if powered right), though the specs favors the pioneers!
