Recently I bought Sony bravia lcd tv . Now it is having lot of dirt ,dust ,smudges etc. So I read the instruction manual which says to use soft cloth slightly moistened in a mild detergent in case dust,smudges doesnot go away by soft cloth . I use the cloth that come with my glasses as it is very soft(I think it is microfiber cloth) with tiny bit of tap water (no detergent as I think that it might remove coating and no specification about which water to use ) and wipe gently the dirty portion but after cleaning it up it shows a WHITE SMEAR in that area which is very much noticeable while watching the TV .Is there any lcd cleaning kit which will remove the smear ? Also tell me the procedure of how to obtain distilled water at home and tell me whether to apply the hot distilled water(as I think it is boiling water ) or allow it to cool down and then apply to the cloth & 2 will the mineral water work if distilled water is not available. I want to be sure not to leave a smear this time.
