Put on your CRITICAL THINKING-cap, think about who the FBI really is, and then read about Jean Seberg, Richard Jewell, Steven Hatfield, Leonard Peltier, Brandon Mayfield, Riad Hamad, the list of innocents slaughtered and lives ruined at the hands of the FBI goes on and on and ON.

  13. I tend not to think in absolutes. The F.B.I. has many excellant field officers that do essential crime fighting investigations. Perhaps it is in the upper hierarchy that the F.B.I. does dirty work for the government. This can be said for many local Police Departments. Most officers are outstanding law abiding defenders of the law. But often politics, especially in monitoring first ammendment rights: Anti-War/Anti-'Free trade' marches in paticular, gets in the way and orders are given at high levels to use violent force and make unnecessary arrests.

Unconstitutional behavior at the N.S.A. and C.I.A. is on yet another level, but again I'm sure there are many C.I.A. field agents honestly defending our country.

I just don't think you can abolish an entire agency. Best to put a bright light on the abuses being made and call on our representatives in Government to make these agencies uphold the United States Constitution.
