The song title refers to a Maasai, an African nomadic people, tradition in which cow blood and curdled milk is consumed during special occasions. This is supported by the tribal chanting at the beginning of the song which is being played backwards along with the use of instruments being played. The lyrics describe one lusting for love who is drawn to the call of a siren, a mythical creature who lures unsuspecting victims to their demise. The chanting heard in the middle and at the end of the song are also a reference to the siren's song.
