SOY - GOOD OR BAD? A few days ago, one could read in some BBC headlines, the same BBC that only praised soy a while ago: "Tofu 'may raise risk of dementia'". Then again today: "Soy foods 'reduce sperm numbers'". Is there a new anti-vegan hype under development? Can we call it a neo-antivegan front on the rise? Are MEAT AND DAIRY INDUSTRY AND CATTLE FARMERS fearing a drop in profits, due to the increase in the consumption of soy products as replacements to meat and dairy? Are they quickly reacting and financing pseudo-scientific, contradictory and result-vague "researches" and spreading quacks throughout media, in an effort to frighten vegans, superfood-and-health-eaters and the exponentially-growing global number of neo-vegans? Adding to these rising numbers, there are also the lactose-intolerant and dyspeptic regular meat and dairy eaters who are forcibly shifting everyday to soy products, as a way to escape the same foods which caused them these health problems. And as long as the news headlines stand out more than the inlines, the phonies above will read to most simply as: "soy is bad for health". Here is the debate: Is meat and dairy giant gearing up against the incredible swelling superfood juggernaut, on claims of damage? Come on, I want to hear from everyone.
