  9. Out of Africa, various streams of people moved out. One seems to have peopled the Indo-gangetic valley 9000 years or so ago. Another came across the seas and settled along the south west coast. Skeletal remains in Mohenjo Daro (presently in Pakistan) show that the Indus civilization was people by Australoid, Caucasoid and Mongoloid people, more or less like the present composition of Northern India. The Australoid people settled in the Deccan, and were probably the ancestors of the Dravidian speaking people. An earlier strain of Negrito people had already colonised the Andamans.

In historical times, people from all over the world had already come in to make India their home.
