  1. Wlad is the best today, and by default probably will be for the next couple years.

He is head and shoulders above any other the other eastern bloc clowns who own or have owned pieces of the heavyweight title in the past couple years.

There are no exciting prospects coming up.  I like Sam Peter, but have not been impressed with him in his last couple fights.  His stock is falling.

  2. Ranked or not Ranked?? Ranked it is still undecided. In Klithcko's last fight Manny was actually getting pissed and yelling because Klitchko was being a ***** against Ibrigamov, a guy with limited power who Kilitchko was terrified to engage.

Sam Peter has looked good in some fights and came from being knocked down 3 times by McCline to win, and also he has a close decision loss to Wladamir but has looked better since the loss.

eaither way In my opinion you cant even give it to anybody untill they all fight each other.

Theres hasnt been a good heavyweight since Lewis, and I agree that if Lewis came back even at 40 he would clean up the division.

As for unranked fighters I like David Rodriguez.

  3. There are no real candidates at this time.

  4. Klitschko and Sam Peter

  5. Klitschko of a truly rotten spoiled fat or steroidal and lazy bunch. Ali, Holmes, Holyfield, Bowe or Lewis could flatten them all. Not to mention smaller guys like Frazier, Marciano, Louis, and Dempsey. Too many of these guys are fighting for all the wrong reasons: Klitschko's a doctor, why does he need to fight. He's an athletic 6'5" or 6'6", but he's juiced up and pumped up, stiff and mechanical and doing nothing but satisfying his ego. He's certainly not satisfying or entertaining fans. The purses are too big, these guys relax and s***w off. They're basically bullies. In the lower divisions, there is far more parity, boxing driven by economic necessity, fire in the belly, inability to compete-largely due to size-in other sports, and the fights are fought more fiercely at  a far higher skill level.

The eras of Ali and Frazier and Holmes and Holyfield, and earlier, are sadly missed.

  6. Wladimir Klitschko since he brought in Manny Steward as his trainer.

Either way, it's very slim pickin's these days with the heavies!

Welter is where it's at right now in boxing!

    EDIT: @ Albert

I don't think it's accurate to say that Vitali "retired" Lennox Lewis.

That would be like saying that Danny Williams retired Vitali!

Lennox was at the end of his career while Vitali was coming to his prime.

I'm by no means a big Lennox fan or anything but he made the right decision by retiring after defeating by TKO the man who was expected to carry the torch in the Heavyweight division.

He did not want to go out like Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard or Tyson.

  7. None of the heavy weights are worth the ink it took to write this . After Lenox Lewis left the game it has not been the same. I,m not trying to be funny I would not pay to see any of the heavy weights. None of them can really box and none of them can really fight. This is how bad the heavy weight division is I would take Kembo Slice against any of them and  you know how much I hate MMA

  8. W. Klitschko, and it's not even close.

  9. Until somone dethrones Wladimir Klitschko, he in my opinion is the best in the heavy division. For me there's no close discussion for any other to be considered the best.

  10. Retired or not, Lennox Lewis could get in the ring today and still probably own any of the current heavyweights.

But Wlad Klitschko is probably the best heavyweight fighter in a very weak division.

  11. vitali klitchko if he is un retired if not then vladimir klitchko , sam peter and in the near future david haye will be
