We have seen Geelong on many other occasions (2006) when they have started the season in a blaze of glory and have finished disappointingly but for me hopfully not this year.

The GLORY days are gone, they have to work and they are not up to it..

Sloppy ground work, in-direct kicking and the amount of ads on the TV about them is putting them up to me as the most over-rated team 2008..

I will be amazed if they win any more than 7 this year.

Nth melbourne? what r u talking about nobody even rates them. Pt adelaide? maybe but i think they can back up the expectations. Personally i think all sides are overrated. The western bulldogs have been overrated the past 3 years and what have they done? nothing. Big things are expected at Geelong again, but to be honest, i think the cats will fall off the wagon mid season, and expect more from Freo this year. Last years epic disappointment will spur them to action. The crows, well unfortunately they wont even make the finals due to their lack of big men NEIL CRAIG WHEN THE F*** ARE YOU GONNA GET A DECENT FORWARD THAT IS OVER 6 FT AND WEIGHS MORE THAN A ROVER?

I'd actually say Geelong from what I've heard - everyone seems to have them as a shoe-in for the flag.  There's a surprise every year.

I'd love all these people to be right and I'll back them but some folk have ordered the grand final champers already.

I think the pies are over rated. Personally I don't see them as much of a flag threat. Most commentators I think have them in the top 4.

Leaving aside the question of s*x, drugs and AFL, I reckon Port are the nearest thing - being runners up - to a one-hit wonder.

Richmond if you go on the c**p that Wallace and Miller sprouted last year.  

However, every side at this time of the year has optimism and well they should otherwise they might not just as well turn up.  Having said that, if you support Melbourne, Richmond perhaps, Collingwood, Footscray, Essendon, Adelaide, St Kilda and Carlton you live with hope and subdued expectations.

The most over-rated side I think is Hawthorn.  They have proven that they are extremely susceptible to pressure.  Asked them about the Swans last year in Sydney as a classic example and there is a litany of others.  You cant develop a fitness program to improve nerves.

Personally I think its Collingwood, I don't think they will do as good as a lot of people think they will.

Both North and Port will be competitive.

Essendon and Melb. will struggle. Fremantle will win the flag
