  1. Any person, remotely interested in baseball and with half a brain would tell you that the Cubs are doing better than the Sox this year.

    To name some stats:

    Hitting

    Runs Scored:  Cubs-735  White Sox-687

    Hits: Cubs-1308  White Sox-1219

    RBIs: Cubs-698  White Sox-668

    BA: Cubs-.282  White Sox-.268

    Pitching

    ERA: Cubs-3.75  White Sox-3.89

    Hits: Cubs-1102  White Sox-1177

    Ks: Cubs-1052  White Sox-942

    BAA: Cubs-.241  White Sox-.256

    In fact, the only offensive stats the Sox lead the Cubs in is HRs and slugging percentage. So, there you go. Stats don't lie. They just tell it how it is. Anyone who thinks differently after seeing that should be considered delusional.

    No, seriously, there ARE two of them -- Red and White -- and, given the popularity of the Crimson and the ascendance of the Pale, there's no way to be certain which one is under discussion here.

    Pay attention, folks, this is the WORLD WIDE Web, and particularly on a site as broadly viewed as a Yahoo forum, parochialism doesn't play well. Be specific.

    Right now the Cubs are giving what-for to pretty much anyone in the NL.


  3. What are you talkin bout Willis??  Cubs are better, but they are the Cubs and will choke.  Especially with the ace of the staff having a 7.42 ERA in August it is starting to unravel already.  The Curse of the GOAT!!

  8. I am a White Sox fan.  As of right now in 2008, the Cubs are doing better.  It will be interesting to see if it will end that way.

    (And in case you were wondering, I DO have all my teeth).
