I WILL GIVE BEST ANSWER TO THE FIRST DECENT ONE

Okay, first off: all my fans game with the PC(Packard Bell iMedia F5750), except one on a graphics card I installed(GeForce 8800GT, works fine). I downloaded SpeedFan to check my temperatures, and it also gives fan speed. It says I have 5 fans:

Sys Fan: 0 RPM;

CPU0 Fan: 2860 RPM;

AUX0 Fan: 0 RPM;

CPU1 Fan: 0 RPM;

and lastly,

AUX1 Fan: 0 RPM.

What is wrong, and how can I fix it? Please help before my system explodes...

  1. "hotman" is correct. The program you downloaded will read the fans running off of the motherboard only. The next best thing you can try is seeing if there is a software made specifically for your motherboard to read all fans running off of any power connector. MSI motherboards have a program called PC Alert Which picks up most fans even if they are not physically connected to the motherboard and are running through the power supply. Other than that, if this is a pre-made system, more than likely you aren't going to explode. unless you throw a firecracker inside the system that is :)

  2. well the reason this is happening is because the only fan plugged into your motherboard is the CPU fan... all the others on you computer are running off the power supply.
