WHY DO EMO PEOPLE CUT THEMSELVES?

i have nothing against emo people but why do the cut themselves? half of my school are like emo and most of them cut their hands. its so scary.

Its an act of self-esteem. It used to be based on ones loneliness or family problems, but now its become a fad and people all follow it. I don't get it either, the world doesn't revolve around high school. It will fade away quick, just don't get involved. It's more of a cry for attention.

hahaha, its totally ridiculous... most of these EMO kids live in well-off middle class families and live in great neighborhoods and for some reason choose to act like their lives are spinning out of control and have depression issues. But I gotta say, for some STRANGE reason, I find A LOT of emo girls to be really attractive! Its weird, but their style and attitude appeals to me, probably cause I'm nothing like them and it intrigues me. But thats just me.
