WHY DO I GO THROUGH SO MUCH?????????

I have a '07 G6, and it seems like I just go through so much gas! Like yesterday I put a full tank in....now today not even 24 hours later, its almost at a half tank. And dont say I drove far or alot cuz honestly yesterday after I filled up I drove maybe a total of 8 miles. That was it. To my bfs, then to my friends, to the mall, then back to my friends then home. It was actually ALOT less than I normally drive in a day. So I dont get it...why am I going through so much gas???

I would say get a locking gas cap, someone is stealing your gas!

I agree with carguy. It sounds like somebody is stealing your gas, so I would get a locked gas cap. You can get one at you local chain car parts stores and their reasonably priced. My former husband had one years ago on his van and both of my kids had one on their cars growing up.

Whenever I get gas I reset the trip odometer.  That way I know exactly how far I've gone, and it is simple to figure out my MPGs on that tank.  It will also tell you if someone is 'borrowing' the car (I have teenagers) and will point out any radical changes in the way the car is running.

But I would agree that someone is probaby siphoning from your car.  Get a locking cap...
