WHY DO PEOPLE BELIEVE IN ASTROLOGY WHEN ITS TOTALLY ALMOST ALWAYS HARMFUL.IT HAS NO BASIS.

What's so evil about entertainment. Nobody says you have to live by the things mentioned in astrology; it's just fun things to know. I find personalities interesting, and I love to read about them and compare them to people.

and if it's evil so is music, tv, and movies, because they are just entertainment.

Do I believe in astrology? A belief is not essential; however, I have studied it at great length on my own, and I've found considerable accuracy in its interpretations.

I do need to correct the statement you've quoted. If anything, astronomy would be the daughter of astrology. The study of astronomy developed from the study of astrology.

What I don't understand is WHY it bothers you so much that people want to read and study a subject on their own, and make up their own minds. Maybe someday I will set my astrology books aside and decide that I don't find it accurate or useful. Whether I do, or whether I don't, is absolutely no business of yours.

I've been always curious about people like you. If you don't like astrology why on earth do you bother coming here, posting a dumb question, which seems to lack basis. Do you actually know what astrology means? I doubt. And yes, people are interested because they want to find out more about themselves and the people around them, or just spend some time chatting about something funny.

I don't understand what you mean by "almost always harmful."  I never try to harm people when I am giving an interpretation.  My intentions are always to help, and if I think what I see in the chart will be hurtful, I don't go there.  

Yes, there are lots of scientists who like to poke fun at people who believe in Astrology, and they will use bait tactics and use their scientifc method in a superior manner to prove we are wrong.  It is more then science to many of us - it is a spiritual awareness that is beyond the realm of science.  

No, Astrology is not the devil of astronomy - it can be used that way by evil people, but so can science!

More harm has been committed in the name of science than in any other discipline. Astrologers didn't come up with ice pick lobotomies, cloning sheep, and bio-genetic mutations.

Astrology was actually the "evil' MOTHER of astronomy, since astrology existed several thousand years before it spawned the discipline of Astronomy. Your "renowned" scientist should at least know the history of his discipline and respect it.

Although it was based on civilizations of the past, people should practice more constructive activities like Yoga or embrace a religion or belief.

However, if they believe in astrology its really their choice. Some people do it just for fun!

Anyhow if you believe that there are 12 months in a year, that's because the old Astronomers took their countless effort how long the Earth travels from point A-point B in relation to the positions of all the planets and stars, in accordance to the changing of all four seasons. (winter,summer,autumn and spring).

Aswtrology is false, but when it gives some hope to the listener, it gives us booster and we are happy and satisfied that something shall be coming to us.  This hope system is keeping astrology alive and more and mnore people are joining this profession and are earning much.
