  1. I believe it's the mood swings women suffer from :) They seem to be a different person in a relative short time :)

  2. Ha ha...because one minute we are nice, then mean, then crying, then happy, then argumentative, then supportive...I mean d**n, are we schizophrenia!  Ha Ha...too funny

  3. They do?  I've never heard something so ridiculous in all my life.

Where is the proof?  Where is the evidence?

At LEAST as many men are diagnosed with schizophrenia as women.  Perhaps even more:

    Schizophrenia

The statistics on schizophrenia and gender are inconclusive. Hospital-based studies suggest a higher rate of schizophrenia in men, whereas community-based surveys have mostly suggested an equal s*x ratio (see Mind’s booklet Understanding schizophrenia).

We do know that men are more likely to experience the early onset of schizophrenia, typically in their late teens to mid-twenties. DSM IV (The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) suggests that men diagnosed with schizophrenia have a poorer prognosis for recovery than women.'

  4. Who says that? Nobody...

  5. This is a stereotype alluding to "most women's" supposed extreme mood swings and derived from a complete misunderstanding of what schizophrenia actually is.

  6. I would say that bipolar disorder is more common in women but not Schizophrenia in fact its more common amongst men.

  7. becoz they have a new character everyday.

  8. Most likely those that say this are unfamiliar with psychiatric illness.  As it turns out, about 1% of the population suffers from schizophrenia, per se (as opposed to a comorbid condition associated with another Axis I Dx).  It's equally prevalent amongst men & women.  It's known that women have a higher lifetime risk of developing psychiatric illness, so perhaps this is where this notion comes from.

About 99% of Normal Women don't have Schizophrenia, in reality.

It may simply be that these people are confounding Normal Women & Feminists.

  9. Because most people don't know what schizophrenia actually is.  They think it's synonymous with multiple personality disorder.  They're trying to say that women always change, and can be a completely different person day to day.

  10. Some people assume all women are alike and that all women have pms and all women have mood swings. Not all of us get pms, but people don't let facts get in the way, stereotypes are so much easier to believe.

  11. Maybe because they are ignorant trolls?

    Cheers :-)

  12. I agree with Dragonfly on his/her answer. Anybody without serious issues wouldn't say that, so I wouldn't let thoughtless comments like that bother you. Most guys have a good attitude to women anyway and it's only the extremists that stand out.

  13. Well, men would have said this due to the mood swings coming with pms.

  14. You oviously never dated one, or you would know all to well.

  15. Because women are illogical and emotional creatures with strange, almost childlike, ideas about how the world works.

  16. News to me...never heard the phrase before.  Is this something you just made up?
