pls tell me why cheques are stricked at the corner.

  1. if it is crossed he cant en-cash it without a bank account. only the cash will be credited to the account.


  2. to mark the cheque as account payee

  3. To indicate that the amount can be credited to the persons a/c only not encashed directly and also to indicate that the instrument is not negotiable
