What? I dont really understand what you meant here. However I am going to say that I think that the US's age restriction on alcohol drinking is a little absurd. I think it should be in accordance with at LEAST one other country. Look at Europe... they dont have ridiculous drinking issues like we do.... I think its because we get so excited when we become of age that we take it too far. It should be 18 I think. Max.

for this site: because yahoo doesn't want to be responsible for what the kids see or do. If a kid see's something here thats offensive or crude they will complain or ask their parents and therefore leading to complaining to yahoo.

for the real world: age restrictions are somewhat the same, if underage (under 18) goes to a event, and something happens to them, they will get sued by the parents. Kids don't really think before they do stuff, so more accident will occur.

It is necessary because teenagers are not responsable enough to do "some" things. At 14/15 and I would say until you are about 21, you dont consider the concequences as you would if you were 30. I also speak for myself. You can be a smart kid, good behavior, respectfull but that doesnt mean you "understand" the concequences of your acts.

On what? Elaborate a bit more. Generally people believe people younger than 18 are irresponsible.

-Take credit cards for example, most people can't control themselves just because they see a fad every where, less prone for an adult since they grow out of these things.

-On drugs and alcohol, a lot of teens abuse it so people try to limit the age on it.

-For driving, teens might have trouble concentrating on the road, taking the consequences (might run over a person), or just go crazy--> Grand Theft Auto.

The thing is, no matter how mature you are society still has proof that until you come of age and can distinguish between fact and fiction, you're not suited to do certain things.

It's necessary, because if we let children under the age restriction play gruesome video games, drink, and fornicate, kids would be so cynical when they grow up. By the way, if one out of ten kids become criminals when they grow up from the stuff I mentioned then the more reason to have age restriction.
