WHY do people forward political emails, when they KNOW you're not going to vote for their person?

Is it just me, or is that incredibly rude? I feel like I'm about to make an enemy of a couple of people because I'm about to say DO NOT FORWARD ME YOUR STUPID POLITICAL EMAILS. I do not wish to vote for your person, nor do I wish to be inundated with your stupid forwarded emails. How would you handle this?

  1. It really is rude. I can't imagine people who forward emails like that actually think that will change someone's mind and make them go "Oh okay now that you forwarded me that email, I'll change my vote." They're obviously doing it for the sole reason of just messing with you. Tell them to fck off.

  2. It's not rude, really. Just bordering on insensitive. They hold strong feelings about their candidate and want to try to convince you to agree. It's a normal part of the political process just updated for modern technology.

Fortunately, you can just set up a mail filter for that sort of thing. Back in the "old" days when a friend wanted to convince you to vote for someone else, they did it in person and you were trapped into listening!

  3. The same happens when people forward me jokes they know I don't like, they surely know I don't read them and they keep wasting their time forwarding me jokes I'm not interested to receive.

  4. I only do it to my brother in law because it drives him crazy, and make me happy-he thinks hes right about everything.

Just NICELY ask them no political or religious emails
