WHY do sexist men say women should work?

men always say women should work, yet women are the ones who have to have babies, look after children, cook the dinner, wash up, clean up, have periods.

lazy men never want to wash up, cook or clean!

so why the h**l should women work?!

WELL by saying it is sexist for a women to do equal things as a man is totally the opposite as sexist. I agree that men should help out a little more but in order to truly be an equal society women should be able to work if they want to. Men have alot to do, as do women. I guess it really comes down to dividing the tasks equally to make it fair

well it is quite sexiest to say men dont cook, clean, look after the children or wash up. my husband and dad do and I am sure there are many men out there that do.

I personally believe that all people should work whether you're a man or a woman. We were all created equal. In the past, society has labeled women as being house wives and men the one who bring home all the money. This way has now put an image in our heads that that's the way it still is. That might be so in different cultures, but I believe in America, we're all created equal and everyone one of us should have a paying job. I think you might be putting a stereotype on "all" men saying they're lazy and never want to cook or clean. In my house, the duties are divided up evenly. We both work, we both do our fair share of house work, we both do our fair share or looking after our children (which happens to be an English Bulldog).

i think the origional feminists thought that if they could break into the work force they would earn a wage giving them more freedom and power in the house. however they did'nt realise when they got home they would still have to do the majority of the housework and they were still primary carers for there children. sociologists call it the double burden, or triple shift, as women now have to do both.

however you must admit men are doing more than they used to especialy in childcare. 30 years ago a man would never have changed a nappy or brought the baby out in its pram where as theese are taken for granted.

it's taken along time for women to be more equal but it's happening, and you have to remeber men are having to adjust as well. they are still brought up to be breadwinners and protective husbands, but feminism is making them redunant and most men are in a no win situation. look at all the young men who are in ganags and dependent on the state.

i'm not sorry about women entering the work place, nor feminism it has brought alot of fredom to society for everyone. and i think if anyone you should be blaming feminists.

Maybe you should speak to your Feminist Sisters like Linda Hirschmann. Who is in the articles about the "Mommy Wars". She says Women who have education and don't work or pursue a Career are Gender Sell Outs. And are not meeting their Potential. As what? Maybe we need more Cat Herders.

Men generally are easy to please. Regular home cooked meals, regular intimacy aka. s*x, don't spend us into bankruptcy. Men need agreeable, pleasant, realistic and reasonable companionship. If not there are hundreds of Millions of Women outside the Feminized West, who are looking for decent Men.

The Census data reveals that US Men are increasingly availing themselves of these Foreign relationship and marriage options. And are refusing to Marry Feminized American Women.

Raise Red Flags and reveal your hatred of Men. You will be regarded as material for Sport s*x, not as a companion to make a Life with. Your attitude is repellent to sane, decent Men. But life is about choices, your reveals a L*****n's attitude toward Men.

It is feminism that insists that women should work, if they want to consider themselves 'liberated'.  It is also feminism that originally insisted that women should be able to work and do all the housework, cooking etc quite easily without any help from men.  This in fact is how the modern feminism movement started.  Read The Feminine Mystique by Betty Friedan to see how she feels about wives who don't work and who (shock horror) expect their husbands to help with the housework.  Betty Friedan reckoned housework was a doddle and could be whisked through in an hour or so, leaving women plenty of time to pursue exciting, fulfilling careers (never anything so common as just a job) without troubling men at all.  

Naturally men embraced this philosophy enthusiastically, why wouldn't they?  Why wouldn't men be pleased to have wives who go out and ear n money as well as doing all the housework, cooking, childcare etc?  As Agatha Christie put it in her autobiography:

'Why support a wife?  Why not let her support herself?  She likes doing it, let her go on doing it!'

I am not sure exactly why Ms Friedan's vision for the feminist future has not turned out quite the way she expected, and why some women don't apparently find it such a doddle to do it all, but it seems that they don't.

Not all of us are lazy, I cook, I clean, I do laundry, In fact I prefer to do the cleaning. This way I have nothing to complain about if it is not done to my liking. I also do the yard work take care of the car and truck. If my woman worked, She would not have to lift a finger. If She wants to help, Saturday would be for us to finish whatever together.
