  1. Its just the law..

    lets deal with it.

  2. It was started in the 1980's by MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving).  They, of course, are not the real reason.  They were pawns and a puppet show for the slow progression of turning California into a police state.  It worked, of course, because people don't make laws, a few politicians do.  And they literally stated that they were going to do it in each and every state.  Now you can tell an 18 year old boy to kill or be killed but don't you dare have a beer.

They take away freedoms little by little, not only so that you don't notice, but also to gauge how docile the public is before they take more away.

Just yesterday some idiot didn't know that the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution simply states that you have the right to bear arms.  He thought there were all sorts of stipulations in it!  It's ONE sentence.

It's Americans' ignorance that lets the government get away with so much.

  3. Make sense or not it is the law.

  4. You can't go to a casino until you're 21 because they serve alcohol. You can go to casinos at age 18 if they don't have a liquor license, like Turning Stone in New York. You can also buy scratch tickets, play the lottery, and gamble otherwise.

I'm not sure why the legal age for alcohol is 21. The powers-that-be have determined that the human body or mind is too fragile for alcohol because it is still developing. It's better than during the age of prohibition, during which time alcohol was illegal for everyone.

The "you can join the army and die" argument only works if you're actually in the military, and I think I've read that the drinking age for servicemen on the base is 18. If you're not actually in the army, though, you've really got no legitimate gripe there.

  5. I personally feel like if you're old enough to fight and die for your country, then you're old enough to drink and gamble.  I'd actually like them to raise the military age to twenty-one - I think that'd be more fair.  However, I can see how, since nobody wants a draft, the government wants as many people in the military as they can get, so they're opening it up for kids who are 18.  So far as drinking goes, however, it's proven that the older you are, the less likely you are to drink and be dangerous (like drunk driving, etc.)  So I can see where they're coming from. I just think that the ages should match.  Hope this helps!

  6. ok at 18 in some states(i live in california and it is here) you are legally old enough to gamble. BUT if the casino sells alcohol like most these days do then you can NOT gamble in THAT casino. for example i live in Solano County in California we have Cache Creek Casino and Thunder Valley Casino close enough to drive to and drive home in one day. i can go to either but my friend who's 20 can ONLY go to Thunder Valley because they do NOT sell alcohol.  why do you have to be 21 to drink in america because were the lamest country on the planet. message me if this confuses you or you want more info i'd be glad to help.

  7. It's a kmown fact that in the age of 21 you stop developing grey cells so maybe it won't matter if you mess with your  brain in this age :P

  8. I'm really not sure.  I know your brain is still developing until about age 25, but I don't think the American government would put the drinking age at 21 for that reason.  It used to be lower, did it not?  Why did they switch it then?  I'm not American so I don't really know these things.  As for the casino, I suspect the only reason is because there's so much alcohol at casinos, it'd be way too easy for a minor to get a drink.

The drinking age where I live is 19, so it's not as big a deal for me.

  9. Yep it's weird.  It's also weird girls at 18 can be in hardcore p**n but can't drink. It's better with no drinking age so kids learn to drink at home than at some Frat party.  I think kids should have the choice of either getting a driver's license OR a license to drink at 18.
