Question:

WHY has Banbridge Council, Northern Ireland, ordered 'REMOVES SYMBOLS OF BRITISHNESS'?

I was under the impression that Northern Ireland was part of United Kingdom/Great Britain... indeed a Referendum was held and the Majority want to remain part of UK - http://www.ark.ac.uk/elections/fref70s.htm.

So, is the decision of Banbridge Council the thin end of the wedge for a change in that public decision?

Is Northern Ireland being sold out yet again... ? QUOTE "The politician who famously declared "never, never, never" in 1986 is no longer setting his face against change. Never, in fact has become whenever. That is, whenever Sinn Fein meets its promises on policing, he'll share power..." http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/6289827.stm

Just type in Ian Paisley Never Never NEVER speech in YouTube to hear the passion of those words... and people believed them..

The recent condemnation of the Chief Constable in charge of the Omagh police investigation.. does it mean we should worry about the future of a devolved N.I.?

  1. Where are we allowed britishness anymore.Seems like its been made a crime all over the UK

    Its called PC

  2. I'm just waiting for the signs to go up where I live in London...

  3. I guess if the invasion of third world scum can ban Britishness than so can Northern Ireland.  It's always been too bad that the commonality of the Irish and the English couldn't ban together for the common good against the devil that approaches from the East

OK tree hugger, what part of my speech offended you so dearly??.   Report away!!!  Nothing I said was harmful (especially to kids, gimme a break).   Hurting your feelings does'nt count

  4. What's the problem?  Where I live here in Greenwich in SE London there has never been any reference to Britishness.

We are all Londoners dahn 'ere mate.

Besides, we always think that anywhere Nawf of Watford must be in a foreign country.

  5. Its called northern Ireland for a reason. If they wanted to be "part" of the UK they should call it "Eastern England" Look if you dont like the way we do business in Ireland then Get the F*CK out, we dont want you here.

  6. I think that idiot Potus just answered your question....Sinn Fein and their supporters despise anything that is remotely British/Unionist within Northern Ireland, They couldn't remove it by force so they have spent 15 years trying to do it by these publicity stunts, They quote 'Human Rights' (Pity they didn't do the same when PIRA where blowing people to bits) and that the people don't want these symbols etc even though the targeted councils are in majority Unionist...I can tell you now that we do want to see plaques and memorials of those brave Police Officers and Soldiers etc who faced up to the Criminal/Terrorists as well as the flag of our Nation (Union Jack) Its funny that Sinn Fein talk about making Public Places 'Neutral' when they are involved in setting up illegal Statues and commemorations to PIRA/Hungerstrikers throughout Northern Ireland, They don't seek Planning Permission on any of these monstrosities.

  7. The rot set in when the UK labour government sold Northern Ireland down the river by changing the name of your National Police Force from "The Royal Ulster Constabulary" Perhaps they did it because they wanted to appease the minority, (they are very good at doing that to the indigenous English in England), perhaps they were just showing that they didn't like the name "Royal" in the title.

Could you imagine the Republic of Ireland Police Force being changed from "The Garda Siochana" to some other name because a small proportion of the residents object to the use of Gaelic.
